Our house didn’t even have electricity or running water when it was built, so these things were added in over time and there have been a lot of different ways of doing electrical throughout the years.

I’ll show you that soon! It’s pretty bad in here. We’ve lived with walls like this in the master bedroom for the last two years (minus that bit of white trim that I’d already started painting in this picture).

Honestly, it’s made me feel pretty sad and hopeless at times when I’ve walked in here. It’s just so much darkness and it feels dirty and dingy too.We thought we would just live with it until we were ready to rip everything out and start moving doors and walls and stuff, but recently it’s become clear to me that it’s just not something I can handle.

I need a quick-fix interim solution.I need to be able to enjoy this room even while I’m waiting for all of my renovation dreams to come true.

So, in the spirit of.

my bathroom redo.I whipped up this little Christmas Eve note to Santa in charcoal and red for us to put out with our milk and cookies for Santa tomorrow night and I thought I might as well share it with you.

Just one more little thing to make the evening even more fun for the little ones..I thought it would be easy enough to pop it into a frame, and that would look great.

Unfortunately, I realized that digging through boxes to find an empty frame wouldn’t exactly be possible while holding Jack in the other hand, so I settled for a clipboard with a little bit of ribbon tied on.It’s perfect and it took 3 seconds!.
